Our last meeting was a group studies evening were we had a very interesting and informative talk from David Robinson, who has been a professional photographer from the age of 15 until his retirement a few months ago. Our new Gallery is now available, Photos of the Month will be loaded as soon as David T returns. Have a look and load your images, it’s easy. A ‘How To’ for the new gallery will be posted within the next couple of days. Thank you to David Richardson for all his hard work in getting our new gallery working.

Notice: Special General Meeting
A Special General Meeting will be held at the beginning of our normal
Competition meeting on Wednesday 26th November 2008, to approve or
reject the proposed changes to the clubs constitution. For the
wording of the amendment , details in Members Only / Committee and AGM / Notes From Committee Meeting.
Our next meeting is a Competition Evening with a Set Subject of “Out Of The Ordinary”, which gives plenty of scope for your artistic talents.

Christmas Party
A reminder that if you (and your partner) wish to attend the Photo Arts Club Christmas Party, then please pay Lorraine Blackburn at the next meeting 26th November, Lorraine will be available from 5:30pm either in the dining room or the club room. The cost is $25 per person and it will be a great evening.
If for any reason you are not able to attend our next meeting then please arrange to get the money to Lorraine before 7th December as we have to inform STST of the number of diners by that date, Lorraine may be contacted to make arrangements for late (after the next meeting) payments by phoning 07 55234522.

Remember that your camera is just a tool. Don't pamper it. You can always buy a new one. If you leave your camera in a closet, it will never get dirty or broken, but you won't have too many great photographs to show for yourself. Many of the best photographs can only be taken under conditions that will render your equipment wet and/or filthy. That's life. |
