Our competition evening of 24th June once again attracted an interesting and high quality selection of images. Considering that we were in competition with the State of Origin there was a good crowd of members and visitors to hear our adjudicator David Toyer give his valuable critique from a life time as a photographer of our entries.
Honours were won by John Van den Broeke for ‘More Traffic Lights’ and Soren Martensen for ‘A Place to Reflect’. Merits by Kristine Kowitz (2), Bernice Camlin (2), John Van den Broeke (2), Carol Brandt, Paul Singleton, Andy Selinger and David Thompson. Congratulations to all of the award winners.
External Competition Information can be found at Other Information / External Competitions.

Remember that your camera is just a tool. Don't pamper it. You can always buy a new one. If you leave your camera in a closet, it will never get dirty or broken, but you won't have too many great photographs to show for yourself. Many of the best photographs can only be taken under conditions that will render your equipment wet and/or filthy. That's life. |
